ADC Conducts Surprise Inspection at Kaithal Municipal Office
Kaithal, August 1:
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and District Municipal Commissioner Deepak Babulal Karwa conducted a surprise inspection of the Kaithal Municipal Council office at 9:30 AM on Friday. During the visit, 48 officials and employees were found absent from duty without prior notice.
Notices have been issued to all absent staff, demanding an explanation for their absence. However, the Executive Engineer, Secretary, and Municipal Engineer were found present during the inspection.
Strict Warning Issued for Absenteeism
Recently assigned charge of the Municipal Council, ADC Karwa personally inspected each department and checked cleanliness, attendance registers, and official records. He instructed the relevant officers to ensure better discipline and office hygiene.
Calling the absenteeism a serious lapse in responsibility, the ADC directed all concerned employees to submit written explanations to the District Municipal Commissionerโs office. He warned that disciplinary action would be taken if no valid justification is provided.
Call for Timely Public Service Delivery
ADC Karwa reminded officials that timely attendance and public service are fundamental responsibilities of all government employees. He emphasized that pending files should be cleared without delay, and the public must be heard and assisted efficiently. Strict action will be taken against any negligence in duty, he added. He urged all officials to perform their duties with honesty, integrity, and discipline to promote good governance.
ADC Urges Officials to Eliminate Malnutrition in Kaithal
On the same day, a meeting was held at the Mini Secretariat under the Malnutrition-Free Campaign. Presiding over the session, ADC Karwa called on all departments to work with accountability to eliminate malnutrition in the district.
He stressed that every child must receive sufficient, balanced, and nutritious food so that no child falls prey to malnutrition. Reviewing data from the Health and Women & Child Development Departments, the ADC instructed medical officers to cross-verify the malnourished children identified by RBSK teams.
He further directed that RBSK teams, while visiting schools, must also conduct health checks of children at village Anganwadi centers to avoid data discrepancies.
Training Ordered for Underperforming Anganwadi Workers
The Program Officer of the Women and Child Development Department was directed to organize training for Anganwadi workers whose performance has been lacking. The meeting was attended by District Program Officer Shashi Bala, health department officials, and other staff members.
