Kaithal Police Arrest 112 in Major July Crackdown on Crime

In a major crackdown on crime, Kaithal Police arrested 112 individuals across 80 criminal cases during July 2025. Under the direction of SP Aastha Modi, the police focused on strengthening law and order, raising public awareness on drug abuse and cybercrime, and targeting repeat offenders and absconders.
₹22 Lakh Worth of Stolen Property Recovered
Police spokesperson Praveen Shyokand reported that officers successfully solved 34 property-related crimes, arresting 62 accused and recovering stolen goods valued at ₹22,03,500.
The crackdown included cases of:
- Theft
- Burglary
- Robbery
- Illegal possession of arms
Drug Trafficking: 18 Held in NDPS Cases
A special anti-narcotics drive resulted in 13 NDPS Act cases being registered, leading to the arrest of 18 drug traffickers.
Seized items included:
- 5.3 kg chura post
- 242 kg doda post
- 32.9 kg ganja
- 5.2 kg opium
- 50 grams heroin
- 42 intoxicating tablets
The large haul highlights the district police’s focused efforts against the drug menace.
Liquor Smuggling Also Targeted
Under the Excise Act, 33 cases were registered and 32 accused arrested. Seized contraband included:
- 909 bottles of country-made liquor
- 184 bottles of illicit liquor
- 72 bottles of English liquor
- 685 litres of lahan (raw liquor)
Absconders Nabbed
During July, police also apprehended:
- 7 bail jumpers
- 9 proclaimed offenders (POs)
Their arrest reinforces the department’s commitment to ensuring that no offender escapes the law.
SP Aastha Modi: Committed to Law and Order
SP Aastha Modi affirmed that the primary duty of the police is to ensure the safety and security of citizens. She said the police are working with high morale and zero tolerance towards anti-social elements, especially those involved in drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and organized crime.
“No one will be allowed to disturb the peace and order of the district,” she declared.

SP Modi also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity without fear. “Your timely information can help us act quickly and prevent crime,” she said.
