79th Independence Day Celebration to be Held in Cheeka
Guhla-Cheeka, August 11 โ SDM Captain Parmesh Singh announced that the Sub-Division level 79th Independence Day celebration will be held at the Government Adarsh Sanskriti Senior Secondary School (GASCSS) ground in Cheeka. Preparations are in full swing, with all departments working in coordination to ensure the success of the event. The final rehearsal for the celebration will take place on August 13.
Preparations and Cultural Program Selection
Under the guidance of Block Education Officer Balbir Kashyap, a meeting was held at Bhawani Mandir Hall on Monday to select cultural performances for the event. Kashyap instructed the cultural team in-charges to maintain consistent practice sessions so that performances reach perfection. He stressed the importance of teamwork among students to bring out the best in their presentations.

Scheduled Cultural Performances
The celebration will feature a variety of cultural performances:
- Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Cheeka: Haryanvi dance and Vande Mataram
- AV Vidya Mandir, Cheeka: Group dance
- Kohinoor International Academy, Tatiana: Gidda and Bhangra
- Xavier International Academy, Cheeka & Indian Heights International School, Badsui: Patriotic dances
- SD Senior Secondary School, Cheeka: Choreography performance
- Sardar Pritam Singh Memorial School, Badsui: Bhangra
The program will conclude with the National Anthem by students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Cheeka.
March Past and Parade
A grand march past will be conducted by contingents from Haryana Police, DAV College, Government Senior Secondary School Cheeka, DAV Public School, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, SD Senior Secondary School, Adarsh Niketan, and Sardar Pritam Singh Memorial School Badsui.
