Bhadhwa Dooj Fair Brings Devotees Together in Cheeka
Guhla-Cheeka, August 11:
On the auspicious occasion of Bhadhwaโs first Dooj, the Shri Baba Kesar Giri Seva Samiti, Cheeka, organized a vibrant fair in the temple premises. The event began with Mahant Baba Rampuri of Dera Baba Sauri Temple offering rot (traditional bread) at the samadhi of Shri Shri 1008 Baba Kesar Giri Maharaj.
Rituals and Prayers for Prosperity
Villagers visited the temple to pay homage at the samadhi, performing rituals and offering prayers for happiness and prosperity. From the early hours, devotees started arriving, and the majority of the attendees were women.

Highlights of the Celebration
A key attraction of the fair was the colorful lighting that lit up the temple area. A community feast (bhandara) serving lentils, bread, and rice was also organized for devotees.
Annual Tradition and Local Belief
Organizing committee members, including Councilor Representative Gurdeep Atalan, Ramdia Numberdar, Binny Pehalwan, Master Sandeep, Balkar Kari, and Charan Singh, shared that the fair is held annually. According to local belief, any wishes made at the temple on this day are fulfilled.
Community Participation
Many residents, including Ashu Banwala, Laabh Singh, Sunil alias Leela, Kala Ram, Master Jagroop Singh, and Bikki Seeda, attended the fair, adding to the spirit of community and devotion.
