Kaithal Police Tighten Grip on Drug Peddlers
Special Anti-Drug Campaign in District
Kaithal, August 22 โ Under the directions of SP Aastha Modi, Kaithal Police have intensified their anti-drug campaign to make the district drug-free. In two separate cases, the CIA-1 unit and Anti-Narcotic Cell arrested two drug peddlers and recovered a massive cache of banned substances.
The seizures included 58,800 prohibited tablets, 304 MTP kits, and 1,310 pregabalin capsules.
First Arrest: Vikram from Nanakpuri Colony
DSP Headquarters Bir Bhan informed that the Anti-Narcotic Cell team, led by SI Rajbir Singh, conducted a raid at the residence of Vikram, a resident of Nanakpuri Colony, Kaithal.
Despite attempting to escape, Vikram was caught. A search in the presence of the Drug Control Officer Chetan Verma led to the recovery of:
- 18,600 Tramadol tablets
- 5,000 Alprazolam tablets
- Total: 23,600 banned tablets
A case was registered at City Police Station, and the accused was arrested.

Second Arrest: Sahil from Khurana Road
In another operation, CIA-1 in-charge SI Jaswant Singh and his team intercepted Sahil of Khurana Road, who was operating a medical store under the name โNew Bobby Medical.โ
During a raid at his residence, police recovered:
- 35,200 Alprazolam tablets
- 304 MTP kits
- 1,310 pregabalin capsules
These were seized in the presence of the Drug Control Officer and PNDT Nodal Officer Dr. Sachin Mandle. A case was registered, and the accused was taken into custody.
Further Investigation Underway
Police confirmed that both accused have been remanded for further interrogation to uncover their supply networks. Authorities have assured that strict action will continue under the zero-tolerance policy against drugs.
