Anti-Drug Drive in Harigarh Kingan Village

Awareness Program by Baba Gorakhnath Seva Dal Trust

In a special initiative under the ongoing anti-drug campaign, Baba Gorakhnath Seva Dal Trust organized an awareness program at Harigarh Kingan village in Kaithal. The event witnessed the presence of villagers, women, youth, and senior citizens in large numbers.

SP Aastha Modi as Chief Guest

The program was graced by Kaithal Superintendent of Police (SP) Aastha Modi as the chief guest. She was warmly welcomed by villagers in a traditional manner, arriving at the venue in a horse carriage and being honored with a ceremonial turban.

Drugs: A Curse on Society

Addressing the gathering, SP Aastha Modi emphasized that drug addiction is a curse not only for the individual but also for families and society. She stated that drugs destroy peace, happiness, and the future of the youth. The SP motivated young people to stay away from drugs and instead channel their energy into education, sports, employment, and social service.

Role of Women in Drug-Free Society

Highlighting the importance of women, SP Modi said that they are the backbone of families and can play a vital role in spreading awareness. She urged women to guide their children with good values and help keep their households free from addiction.

Strict Action Against Drug Peddlers

SP Modi informed that the Kaithal police are taking strict measures against drug traffickers under the PIT NDPS Act, including detaining culprits and confiscating illegal properties acquired through drug money. She assured the public that all information provided to the police will be kept strictly confidential.

Villagers’ Pledge for Drug-Free Village

The event concluded with villagers taking a collective pledge to support the police in the fight against drugs and make Harigarh Kingan a leading example of a drug-free village.
