St John Ambulance to Organize First Aid Camps in Villages
Guhla Cheeka, August 26, 2025:
The St John Ambulance International Association India will soon organize First Aid and CPR training camps across rural areas, announced National President Dr. Rajpal Poonia. He emphasized that Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is the only proven life-saving technique that can revive an unconscious person suffering from cardiac arrest or breathing difficulties.
CPR: A Life-Saving Skill
Dr. Poonia explained that timely CPR can prevent damage to the brain and vital organs, giving victims a new lease on life. The association has been training volunteers and young First Aiders to spread awareness and ensure that more people are equipped with life-saving skills.
He added that people can get complete training details through the association’s toll-free number. “Our aim is to reach every needy citizen with government welfare schemes and successfully contribute to the Nation Paramount Mission 2030,” he said.

Practical Training in Schools
Master Trainer and First Aid Specialist Dr. Raja Singh Jhinjar, during a session at Bhagal School, highlighted the importance of CPR training in building confidence and essential skills. He stressed that neglecting First Aid training could be life’s biggest mistake.
Students and staff members participated in hands-on CPR practice on human dummies, while also learning about common accident causes, identification, and immediate treatment.
Road Safety and First Aid
Dr. Jhinjar pointed out a critical report: every hour, 14 people die and 40 are injured in road accidents in India. He explained that timely First Aid can significantly reduce these numbers.
Teacher Ramkumar Poonia warned against untrained people attempting First Aid without knowledge, as it may worsen the victim’s condition—for example, giving water to an unconscious person can block the airway and cause death.
Community Participation
The program was attended by villagers, students, teachers, and staff, including Headmaster Jawahar Singh, Pradeep Kumar, Sujan Singh, Parasnath Yadav, Mamta Rani, Neha Rani, Pushpa Devi, Kushvinder Kaur, Panna Devi, and others.
