SP Aastha Modi Visits CLG Office, Reviews Progress

Kaithal, August 26 – Superintendent of Police (SP) Aastha Modi visited the Community Liaison Group (CLG) office located at City Police Station, Kaithal. She reviewed the progress of cases handled by the institution and issued necessary guidelines to strengthen its functioning.

Appreciation for CLG’s Role

During her visit, SP Aastha Modi appreciated the commendable work of the CLG members. She noted that the group has been consistently helping resolve disputes and serving society.

The members of the CLG welcomed the SP warmly and shared that the institution, established in 2017, has successfully resolved 641 cases so far.

Helping Citizens Avoid Legal Hassles

Police spokesperson informed that many people prefer to bring disputes like domestic conflicts, quarrels, and land-related issues to the CLG instead of courts. Retired professionals and social workers associated with the group resolve matters in a family-like environment.

SP Aastha Modi highlighted that this effort saves citizens from unnecessary legal expenses and court visits. She said, “By resolving disputes through dialogue, CLG is truly serving public welfare and deserves appreciation.”

Partnership Between Police and CLG

Many non-cognizable complaints received by the SP office are often referred to the CLG for resolution. This has reduced the burden on courts and police stations while ensuring peaceful settlements.

During the meeting, CLG President Ruldu Ram, members Shyam Bahadur Khurania, Hawa Singh, Sukhdeep Walia, Santlal, Jaswant Singh, and police officials including Inspector Geeta, Inspector Surender Singh, SI Rajesh Kumar, SI Tarsem Lal, and SI Satpal were present.

Commitment for Continued Service

CLG members assured SP Aastha Modi that they will continue working with the same dedication, resolving disputes amicably by gaining the trust of both parties.
