Satpal Jamba Raises Pundri Subdivision Demand in Assembly
Kaithal, August 26 — During the monsoon session of the Haryana Assembly, MLA Satpal Jamba strongly raised the demand to grant Pundri the status of a subdivision. He said this step is crucial for regional development and to make administrative services more accessible for local residents.
Benefits for 54 Villages
Jamba explained that residents of Pundri currently need to travel to Kaithal for revenue and administrative work, costing extra time and money. If Pundri becomes a subdivision, around 54 villages in the constituency will directly benefit. Development work will accelerate, and people will have access to government services closer to home.
Proposal to Cover Open Drains
The MLA also highlighted the issue of drainage in villages. He suggested that open drains on village boundaries (phirni) should be converted into underground drains, especially in villages with populations of over 5,000. He added that connecting these drains to five ponds would prevent waterlogging during monsoons, ensuring cleanliness and improving village aesthetics.
Time-Bound Partition Process
Raising another issue, Jamba called for fixing the maximum time limit of six months for land partition cases. He emphasized that this would reduce unnecessary disputes in villages and help people get timely justice.
