Gate Meeting in Guhla Suspended After Assurances on Demands
Employees’ Protest Paused After Eight Days
Guhla, September 18 – The ongoing gate meeting by All Haryana Power Corporation Union (affiliated with Sarv Karamchari Sangh Haryana) against the Executive Engineer in Guhla was suspended today after entering its eighth day. The decision came following positive assurances from the Executive Engineer regarding employees’ demands.
The meeting was presided over by Unit President Sandeep Saini, while Unit Secretary Rakesh Kumar conducted proceedings. Senior leaders including State Vice President Swaraj Singh, State Secretary Abhishek Sharma, and C.C. Member Baljinder Sida were present.
Assurances and Immediate Solutions
According to Unit President Sandeep Saini, the talks held with the Executive Engineer on September 17 were encouraging. Several issues raised by employees were resolved immediately, while others were promised to be addressed soon.
Based on this, the union decided to temporarily suspend the agitation. However, the leadership made it clear that if the demands are not fulfilled within the agreed timeframe, the unit executive will reconvene and resume the protest.

The meeting witnessed strong participation from workers across various sub-units. Among those present were:

The union reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that employees’ issues are not ignored and warned of a stronger movement if promises are not kept.
