Students Celebrate Diwali with Vedic Values and Cultural Events
Guhla-Cheeka, October 17 — Under the leadership of the Arya Yuva Samaj, DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Cheeka, organized a series of activities dedicated to Diwali celebrations as part of the Vedic Sanskar Punya Maas.
The morning prayer assembly featured cultural performances by students, including a theatrical presentation depicting the life of Lord Shri Ram, emphasizing his ideals of truth, duty, and compassion.
Another skit delivered the message of celebrating a pollution-free Diwali, urging students to opt for eco-friendly festivities.

Principal Sandhya Bathla Inspires Students
Addressing the students, Principal Sandhya Bathla said:
“We should take inspiration from the idealistic life of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram and dedicate ourselves to the service of humanity.”
She appreciated the students’ efforts in spreading social and cultural awareness through creative performances.
Rangoli Competition Highlights Artistic Talent
After the assembly, the school organized a Rangoli competition for all four houses. Students created colorful and meaningful designs reflecting the festive spirit of Diwali.
In the results, Swami Dayanand House secured the first position, while Mahatma Hans Raj House stood second in both junior and senior categories.

Arya Yuva Samaj Conducts Havan Ceremony
The Arya Yuva Samaj also celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Anand Swami Ji by performing a Havan Yajna in the school premises.
During the ceremony, Satyavir Shastri addressed the students, urging them to imbibe the principles and values of Arya Samaj and DAV philosophy in their daily lives.
School staff and students participated enthusiastically in the event.
