Haryana Day 2025 Celebration to Feature State-Level Events in Panchkula
Kaithal, October 29:
Deputy Commissioner Priti announced that a state-level Haryana Day celebration will be held in Panchkula on November 1. The Department of Art and Cultural Affairs will organize Haryanvi Folk Song/Ragini and Haryanvi Group Folk Dance competitions from November 1 to 3 at Yavanika Garden, Sector-5, Panchkula.

Attractive Cash Prizes for Winners
According to District Information and Public Relations Officer Nasib Singh Saini, winners of the Haryanvi Folk Song/Ragini and Folk Dance competitions will receive cash prizes and certificates:
- 🥇 1st Prize: ₹1,00,000
- 🥈 2nd Prize: ₹75,000
- 🥉 3rd Prize: ₹50,000
Each college may submit only one entry per category, and film songs or pre-recorded tunes are strictly prohibited. All stage setup, sound check, and preparation time must be completed within 10 minutes.
Rules for Folk Song and Ragini Competition
- Each solo singer may have up to five accompanying musicians.
- Performance duration must be between 4–6 minutes.
- Songs must be performed in their original folk tune and in any dialect of Haryanvi.
- Judging criteria include voice quality, melody authenticity, composition, and overall presentation.
- The performance must be live — no recorded or playback music is allowed.
Rules for Haryanvi Folk Dance Competition
- Each team may include up to 10 dancers and 5 accompanying musicians.
- The performance duration must be 6–8 minutes.
- Judging will be based on rhythm, choreography, expression, costume, makeup, set design, and dance quality.
Promoting Haryana’s Cultural Heritage
The Haryana Day celebration aims to promote local traditions, language, and folk art forms.
DC Priti encouraged youth participation to preserve Haryana’s rich cultural legacy through music and dance, saying that such events connect modern generations with the state’s vibrant heritage.
