Haryana Child Rights Commission Member Inspects Kaithal Civil Hospital
Focus on Child Protection, Welfare, and Healthcare Facilities
Kaithal — Mange Ram, Member of the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, conducted an inspection of the District Civil Hospital, Kaithal on Thursday. The visit aimed to review child welfare facilities and ensure proper healthcare services for children under protection schemes.
The inspection was accompanied by Civil Surgeon Dr. Renu Chawla, Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Bhim Sain Aggarwal, District Child Protection Officer Shashi Bala, Protection Officer Rajbir Singh, PPO Sunita, and Rajesh Kumar from the Labour Department.

Discussion on Child Protection and Welfare Services
During the visit, detailed discussions were held on child protection and welfare issues, particularly concerning the care and health monitoring of children staying in Specialized Adoption Agencies (SAA). Mange Ram directed the officials to ensure that health reports of children in care homes are prepared and submitted regularly and on time.
He also emphasized the need to upgrade the Children-Based Resource Centre (CBRC) in Kaithal district at the earliest to enhance support and rehabilitation services for vulnerable children.
POCSO Victims to Get Child-Friendly Facilities
Another key directive was the establishment of a child-friendly room at the Civil Hospital for POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) victims. The goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for children during counseling and medical examinations.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Renu Chawla assured the commission member that all the suggested actions would be implemented promptly within the prescribed timeline, ensuring that child care facilities in the district meet the required standards.
