Kaithal Police Get Tough on Traffic Violators in Kaithal

Strict Watch on Bullet Riders Creating Panic with Firecracker Sounds

Kaithal, November 5 — Under the directions of Superintendent of Police Upasana, Kaithal Police have intensified their campaign against those violating traffic rules. Special teams led by Traffic SHO Inspector Naresh Kumar are conducting continuous checks, issuing challans, and spreading awareness among citizens about road safety.

The police have taken strict action against Bullet riders who modify silencers to create loud firecracker-like sounds, causing panic and disturbance in the area. During October, a total of 75 Bullet motorcycles with such modifications were fined.

6746 Challans and ₹31.35 Lakh Penalty in One Month

According to the police spokesperson, traffic enforcement was carried out aggressively during October. A total of 6,746 challans were issued, and ₹31,35,800 in fines were collected.

Additionally, 69 vehicles were impounded for serious violations. Major offenses included:

  • 383 challans for driving without number plates
  • 376 for lane violations
  • 2,621 for riding without helmets
  • 317 for overspeeding
  • 807 for wrong-side driving
  • 215 for not wearing seat belts
  • 56 for drunk driving
  • 34 for using mobile phones while driving
  • 4 for black film on windows
  • 1 for underage driving

‘Our Goal is to Save Lives, Not Just Issue Fines’ — SP Upasana

SP Upasana emphasized that traffic rule violations not only endanger the violator but also put others’ lives at risk. “When we ignore traffic rules, we betray not only ourselves but also our families,” she said.

She added that the motive of police is not to punish but to protect lives by reducing road accidents and casualties. “As responsible citizens, we must follow traffic rules to keep ourselves and our families safe.”

Public Awareness and Safety Campaigns Continue

Kaithal Police are conducting regular public awareness drives to encourage compliance with road safety norms. Officers are visiting public places, schools, and intersections to educate people about the importance of helmets, seat belts, and safe driving practices.
