Police Continue Anti Drug Awareness Drive in Kaithal

โ€˜Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life,โ€™ Urges SP Upasana

Kaithal, November 5 โ€” The Kaithal Police have continued their public awareness campaign against drug abuse under the direction of Superintendent of Police (SP) Upasana. Two dedicated anti drug awareness teams have been formed, led by Inspector Surender Singh, SI Karmbir, ASI Om Prakash, HC Sunil Kumar, and women constables Kismat and Sonia, along with SPOs Rajpal, Pradeep Kumar, and Jaswinder.

These teams are visiting various villages to educate the public, especially youth, about the dangers of drug addiction. On Wednesday, the teams visited Budhakheda, Sangatpura, Dhanouri, Barta, Baba Ladana, Manas, Balbehra, and Bhagal villages, spreading the message of a drug-free society and administering an oath against drug use.

Drugs โ€” The Root Cause of Many Diseases

SP Upasana emphasized that drug abuse destroys the human body, leading to serious diseases such as cancer, liver damage, lung and heart problems, memory loss, AIDS, and mental illness.

She added, โ€œAddiction is a disease that weakens a person physically, mentally, and socially. Most victims are those who are socially or economically vulnerable. We must treat them with compassion, boost their morale, and encourage them to seek medical help.โ€

Youth Awareness to Build a Drug-Free Future

The SP pointed out that the trend of drug use among youth, particularly school and college students, is increasing rapidly. Such habits not only harm health but also push individuals toward crime.

To combat this, Kaithal Police have taken a proactive approach โ€” reaching directly into villages to spread awareness, educate youth, and motivate citizens to join hands in creating a drug-free India.

Public Cooperation is the Key

SP Upasana appealed to the public to report any drug dealers or suspicious activity to the police. โ€œYour information can help us take strict action against drug traffickers and make our district completely drug-free,โ€ she said.
