City Police Arrest Accused for Creating Fake Instagram ID to Harass Girl

Kaithal, February 25 – In a swift action against cyber harassment, City Police arrested a man for allegedly creating a fake Instagram ID and sending obscene videos and messages to a young woman.

The case was registered at the City Police Station after a complaint was filed by a woman resident of Kaithal regarding harassment of her daughter through social media.

Fake ID Used to Send Obscene Content

According to the police spokesperson, the complainant stated that an unknown person had created a fake Instagram ID under the name “Naina Love Abhishek 6282.” Using this profile, the accused allegedly prepared and circulated objectionable videos and sent inappropriate messages to her daughter’s mobile number.

Due to the continuous harassment, the young woman was reportedly under severe mental distress.

Following the complaint, a case was registered at the City Police Station and an investigation was initiated immediately.

Accused Arrested After Technical Investigation

The investigation was carried out under the supervision of SHO Inspector Geeta, with a team led by Inspector Vedpal. Using technical surveillance and digital tracking, the police traced the accused to Shital Nagar in Rohtak.

The accused, identified as Nitesh, a resident of Shital Nagar, Rohtak, was apprehended by the police.

Mobile Phone Recovered

During the arrest, the mobile phone used in committing the offence was recovered from the accused’s possession. The device is being examined for further digital evidence.

Police officials stated that the accused will be produced before the court on Wednesday, and further interrogation is underway to ascertain whether he was involved in similar incidents.

Strict Action Against Cyber Harassment

Kaithal Police reiterated their firm stance against cybercrime and online harassment. Officials appealed to citizens, especially young women and students, to immediately report any suspicious or abusive activity on social media platforms.

They also advised parents to remain vigilant and encourage open communication with children regarding online safety.
