Haryana Police ‘Operation Smile’ Reunites Family in Kaithal
Kaithal, April 4 — Under the ongoing ‘Operation Smile’ initiative by Haryana Police, the dedicated team successfully traced and reunited a missing woman and her two children with their family.
The case originated in the Pundri police station area when a man reported that his wife had left home on March 27, 2026, saying she would visit Kurukshetra and return in two days. She carried clothes and took both children with her. When she did not return, the family filed a missing report at Pundri Police Station.

Tracked Across States Using Intelligence & Tech
The Operation Smile team—PSI Sumit, SI Ishwar Singh, SI Rajendra Kumar, Lady HC Saroj, Constable Mandeep, and Woman Constable Sonia—used intelligence inputs and technical tracking to trace the woman’s movement.
Due to domestic issues, she had traveled by train to Mumbai with the children. Later, a kind person helped her board a train from Mumbai towards Amritsar. Acting on inputs, the police traced the train route and recovered the woman and children from Karnal Railway Station on Saturday morning.
Safely Handed Over to Family
Following due procedure, the woman and children were safely handed back to their family members. This action once again fulfilled the mission of Operation Smile—bringing missing persons back to their loved ones and restoring smiles.
