Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff Arrests Two Accused in Wheat Theft Case, Another Theft Solved
Kaithal, January 14 – Acting on the directions of Superintendent of Police Upasna, the Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff of Kaithal Police tightened the noose around theft offenders and arrested two accused involved in the theft of wheat sacks from an atta chakki. During interrogation, the police also solved another theft incident and recovered stolen property.
Wheat Sacks Stolen from Atta Chakki
According to the police spokesperson, Amanpreet, a resident of Arjun Nagar, Kaithal, lodged a complaint stating that unknown persons stole six sacks of wheat from his atta chakki located in Arjun Nagar.
The theft occurred on January 3, at around 4:00 am, when the accused took advantage of the early morning hours. Following the complaint, a case was registered at City Police Station, Kaithal, and investigation was initiated.

Investigation Led by Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff
The investigation was conducted under the supervision of Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff Incharge SI Pradeep Kumar, with a team led by HC Sunil Kumar. Acting swiftly, the police team identified and arrested two accused:
- Shubham, resident of Mahadev Colony, Kaithal
- Ameen Khan, resident of Sirta Road, Kaithal
Stolen Wheat and Scooter Recovered
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft. The police successfully recovered six stolen sacks of wheat from their possession. Additionally, the scooter used in the commission of the crime was also seized.
The recovery of stolen property has brought relief to the complainant and reflects the effectiveness of the police action.
Another Theft Case Solved
Further interrogation of the accused led to the revelation of another theft incident. The accused admitted that on January 10, 2026, they had stolen a 40-kilogram sack of revdi (sesame sweet) from a pickup vehicle parked in Mahadev Colony, Kaithal.
A case regarding this theft had already been registered at the City Police Station, and with this disclosure, the police have successfully solved that case as well.
Accused Sent to Judicial Custody
After completion of legal formalities, both accused were produced before the court. As per court orders, they were sent to judicial custody.
Police Continue Crackdown on Theft
Kaithal Police reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against those involved in theft and other criminal activities. Under the leadership of SP Upasna, special teams have been directed to remain vigilant and ensure the safety of citizens and their property.
The police have appealed to the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station so that timely action can be taken.
