Swift Action Against Wheat Theft in Kaithal

In a major breakthrough, Kaithal police’s Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff swiftly arrested four accused in the case of wheat sack theft. The accused also confessed to another theft involving rice sacks.

The public sentiment remains highly supportive of the police’s quick action, emphasizing the growing demand for strong law enforcement to protect local businesses.


Details of the Wheat Sack Theft

According to the police spokesperson, Lokesh Goyal, a resident of Model Town, Kaithal, filed a complaint. He reported that on the night of April 23, around 2 AM, unknown individuals stole 70 sacks of wheat from his plot located opposite Transport Nagar, Kaithal.

A case was immediately registered at the Civil Lines police station based on his complaint.

Swift police action was demanded by the local community, as thefts of this nature impact farmers and traders heavily.


Investigation Led by Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff

The investigation was taken up by a specialized team led by SI Pradeep Kumar. His team included SI Shubhkaran, SI Jaybhagwan, ASI Jasmer Singh, HC Anil Kumar, HC Lakhvinder, and Home Guard Vikas.

Working tirelessly, the team soon made significant progress. They arrested four suspects:

  • Rohit, resident of Jakholi Adda, Kaithal
  • Lovely, resident of Chandana Road, Kaithal
  • Rohit, resident of Sainci Basti, Kaithal
  • Ajay alias Bajrangi, resident of Valmiki Basti, Kaithal

These arrests were made possible through intense surveillance and ground-level intelligence.


Accused Confess to Additional Rice Theft

During interrogation, the accused admitted to committing another theft. They confessed to stealing sacks of rice from a rice sheller located at Kalram village during the night of April 12 and 13.

Their confession confirmed the police’s suspicion of a broader pattern of thefts targeting local agricultural businesses.

The prompt confession and recovery have helped restore some confidence among local traders.


Recovery of Stolen Goods and Equipment

The police managed to recover:

  • 40 sacks of stolen wheat
  • 2 sacks of stolen rice
  • A motorcycle used during the theft

The recovery of the stolen goods brought immense relief to the victims, who praised the police for their efficiency.

The public expressed gratitude, noting that swift action helps deter future crimes.


Judicial Custody and Ongoing Proceedings

Following proper legal procedures, all four accused were produced before a court. The court ordered them into judicial custody.
